Green Office to Carry Out Environmental Protection Actions

FEDS began implementing “employee environmental protection campaign” in 2021, injecting environmental elements into the daily work of employees. Through 8 environmental protection actions, it encourages employees to implement green living, hoping to gather the strength of each employee to achieve the sustainable goal of “energy conservation, waste reduction, and low-carbon”.

8 Major Green Actions

Green Point App

FEDS encourages employees to download the "Environmental Protection Collection APP" to value environmental protection actions and become environmental activists. By the end of 2023, a total of 1,313 employees have completed the download, and the download rate is 99%.

Green Office Measures

In response to the 32 measures of the Ministry of Environment's "Green Office", the content covers 5 aspects: "saving energy and resources", "reducing quantity at the source", "green procurement", "environmental greening", and "advocacy initiatives", so as to practice green office.

Green Declaration

FEDS will continue to advocate for 6 office environmental declarations, including: environmental actions such as maintaining indoor conference air conditioning at 26 degrees Celsius, taking fewer elevators and walking more, encouraging employees to join the environmental protection ranks and loving the earth with practical actions.

Green Initiative

FEDS advocates for international environmental initiatives such as World Earth Day and World Water Resources Day, and invites employees to practice 2 to 3 environmental actions on the day of the event. By the end of 2023, 40 green actions have been shared, with a total of 5,041 visits.

Green e-Newsletter

Referring to environmental protection information advocated by government agencies, FEDS compiles environmental electronic newspaper to enable employees to stay up-to-date with the latest environmental issues every month. By the end of 2023, 34 e-newsletters have been released, with a total of 10,348 visits.

Carbon Reduction Platform

FEDS has established an employee carbon reduction platform to encourage employees to record daily carbon reduction actions in three aspects: office daily life, lifestyle habits, and transportation methods, and leverage their carbon reduction efforts to become "carbon reduction activists".

Environmental Greening

FEDS creates a green office environment, sets up large-scale plants in the office area of the Company’s headquarter and maintains them regularly. Green plants account for 4% of the total office area.

Rental Equipment

In response to the policy of "leasing instead of purchasing", all office machines and water dispensers in the office area are 100% leased with green labels, with a rental cost of approximately NT$1.99 million in 2023.

  1. Evaluate the change of the lighting in the public spaces such as tea rooms and walkways to sensor lighting
  2. Increase the green area of the office and increase it to 5% and 10% in phases
  3. Prioritize the purchase of household appliances with the Green Mark.
