Upholding the vision of "Sustainability Creates a Better Life," FEDS is committed to implementing ESG sustainability initiatives, actively establishing sustainability-oriented management models within the company to achieve excellent sustainability management results. Yesterday (6th), at the 2025 "Vision ESG Corporate Sustainability Awards" ceremony hosted by Vision Magazine, FEDS received the "ESG Comprehensive Performance Excellence Award," recognizing the company's long-term efforts in promoting ESG sustainability.
The "Vision ESG Corporate Sustainability Awards" has been organized by Vision Magazine since 2005. Using ESG as its framework, it comprehensively evaluates corporate overall social responsibility performance across various dimensions including corporate sustainability strategic planning, organizational actions and performance, stakeholder engagement, and information disclosure transparency. FEDS has long promoted ESG sustainability initiatives through proactive policies, pursuing excellence in corporate governance, environmental operations, green procurement, employee care, and social welfare. With outstanding performance earning 32 awards in 2024, FEDS now adds the "Vision ESG Corporate Sustainability Award" to its achievements, demonstrating that FEDS is a company that spares no effort in sustainability promotion with exceptional performance.
Facing the 2050 net-zero emissions target, FEDS actively implements energy conservation and carbon reduction. In addition to continuously promoting energy-saving projects, the company leverages technology to enhance energy management efficiency. FEDS has not only introduced mechanical and electrical inspection apps to improve equipment operation reliability but also established the iAuto intelligent graphic control platform to monitor and analyze energy usage in real-time. In 2024, FEDS successfully reduced electricity consumption per NT dollar of revenue by 18% compared to 2017.
Running parallel with "energy conservation" is the "green electricity" program. In 2024, FEDS Hualien completed the installation of additional solar photovoltaic equipment. Currently, solar power generation systems are installed at FEDS Xinyi A13, Taichung FEDS, and FEDS Hualien, generating nearly one million kWh of green electricity annually, effectively reducing carbon emissions from operational activities.
In employee care, FEDS has established competitive compensation and benefits systems, designed comprehensive talent development blueprints, and prioritizes employee health. For six consecutive years, the company has promoted the "Employee Health UP Program," implementing ten employee health promotion initiatives. FEDS also encourages employees to participate in sports clubs and has specifically designed the "Maternal Health Protection Program" for pregnant employees, providing "Caring Mom Packages" and organizing health consultation seminars among other diverse caring services. The company is fully committed to creating a healthy, friendly, and happy workplace. In 2024, headquarters and all business locations received healthy workplace certification badges, and FEDS was honored with multiple awards including Healthy Corporate Citizen, National Outstanding Healthy Workplace, and Family-Friendly Workplace.
Additionally, over the past five years, FEDS has averaged more than 700 charitable activities annually, becoming a department store with daily charitable activities. The company has long cared for children in remote areas, organizing Christmas lighting charity events for 16 consecutive years, giving each participating child a pair of new sports shoes and arranging day trips to help children broaden their horizons and explore new things. To date, shoes have been given to over 3,800 children in remote areas, allowing them to enjoy warm Christmas celebrations that are both educational and entertaining.
Practicing environmental charity, FEDS launched the Tree Planting Initiative Year program starting in 2024, successively conducting tree planting activities at Banqiao Wensheng Elementary School in New Taipei City and Siraya National Scenic Area in Tainan, planting seeds of natural carbon reduction. Tree planting activities will continue, with tree planting events planned wherever FEDS operates across Taiwan, working together for a beautiful net-zero carbon future.
