Far Eastern Department Stores actively implements ESG concepts and invited the Tainan City Government and Siraya National Scenic Area Management to jointly launch the "ESG Tree Planting for Two Years, Planting New Hope for Carbon Reduction" activity on March 21. Representatives such as Nancy Hsu President and Vice President Lin Chang feng planted 6 purple flowered wind Suzuki trees and 40 Chinese toon trees at the Nanhua Tourist Center in Siraya Scenic Area, Tainan City. In the future, tree planting activities will also be promoted in other county and city bases, striving to achieve the goal of net zero carbon reduction.
In response to Arbor Day and International Forest Day, the Chiayi branch of the Forestry and Conservation Administration of the Ministry of Agriculture will hold a seedling giving event from March 12th to 21st. Anyone holding three invoices can exchange for one pot of saplings. The event will send out a total of 300 saplings, hoping to cultivate the public's love for forests and afforestation. On March 15th, a special "Parent Child Pottery Decoration Gift" parent-child activity is planned, looking forward to every little sapling accompanying children's growth.
On March 15th, the Hualien store and the Hualien Forestry Department jointly held the "Good Forest Appreciation" Love Invoice Replacement Activity. People can exchange one peach blossom, mountain cherry blossom and other saplings with the invoice, and about 800 saplings will be distributed to the public on site. In addition to giving away tree seedlings for free, the Hualien store has also launched an "exclusive eco-friendly paper box planting" to contribute to the earth.
Banqiao Far Eastern Department Stores and Zhubei Store participated in the "Weaving an Ecological Green Net" event organized by the local government and the Forestry and Nature Conservation Administration of the Ministry of Agriculture on March 15th and 22nd, respectively. Banqiao Far Eastern Department Stores invites the public to exchange Taiwan native seedlings with invoices and their own eco-friendly bags. The event has raised over 800 love invoices, all of which will be donated to the Genesis Foundation; Colleagues from Zhubei store went to Xinfeng Township Field Park to plant saplings and contribute to environmental sustainability.
In addition, on March 15-16, Taichung City Far Eastern Department Stores teamed up with Shancheng Succulent Planting Company and Succulent Secret Land Fuxing Store in Puli Town, Nantou County to create a "Spring Festival Tour of Good Forest Life". They invited the public to donate invoices to help the Eden Social Welfare Foundation. On March 20, the logging team went to the foundation to reorganize love invoices and donated a batch of succulent potted plants for charity sale.
On March 18th, colleagues from Taoyuan store held the "Guarding the Mountains and Clearing the Mountain Hiking Day" at Hutou Mountain to assist in restoring the cleanliness of the trail and protecting the natural environment.
