Talent cultivation is the key foundation for sustainable business operations. FEDS has planned a comprehensive talent cultivation system, providing professional training for current employees based on their job levels and functions, and designs exclusive basic training and core competency training courses for counter personnel. Through education and training, we enhance employees’ professional knowledge and skills, and drive improvements in departmental performance. Since 2014, our training blueprint has expanded to include industry-academia cooperation programs, enabling us to identify and cultivate potential outstanding talent in advance, building an excellent talent pipeline for the company’s long-term business development.

Employee Training and Development

FEDS regards talent cultivation as a core driver of organizational growth, building an institutionalized and forward-looking talent development system to strengthen employees’ capabilities. Professional training is designed according to competency and job-level needs, ensuring fair access to diverse learning opportunities. In 2025, FEDS implemented three major training themes—technological, international, and information-security capabilities—integrating policy resources and practical outcomes to strengthen digital transformation, operational resilience, and retail talent competitiveness.

Through an institutionalized and forward-looking cultivation system, FEDS’ 2025 employee training reached 23,375 attendances and 28,630 training hours, averaging 24 hours per person. Through continuous resource investment and expanded training programs, FEDS continues to enhance employees’ professional capabilities and strengthen long-term competitiveness.

We arrange management training courses for unit supervisors with a focus on four categories, including industry trends, new insights into laws and regulations, government policies, and leadership management, in order to enhance core management competencies.

Digital Learning Projects to Improve the Training System

FEDS operates retail locations throughout Taiwan. To enable employees across all regions to participate in training without time and space constraints, FEDS has implemented a phased digital learning project, and launched its Online Learning Platform on the employee portal EIP in 2019, achieving the goals of the digital learning 1.0 phase.

In 2025, 12 new online courses were added, encouraging employees to use fragmented time to strengthen professional capabilities.To help back-office management units promptly grasp key operating standards, 10 management courses were added, covering inventory management and stocktaking, labor regulation changes, and financial-operation precautions, with a cumulative 230 views. Going forward, FEDS will continue to optimize platform functions and course diversity, building a more comprehensive digital learning ecosystem.

Counter Staff Training and Education

FEDS has developed a standardized professional training system for counter staff with three categories: basic training for new recruits, professional skills training, and self-improvement training. In 2025, there were 15,913 counter staff, with 11,679 training attendances and 11,350 training hours. Through institutionalized training mechanisms, FEDS continues to enhance customer experience and service standardization.

Performance Evaluation Promotes Outstanding Employees

To enhance employee capabilities and promote company growth, FEDS has established an employee performance evaluation system with clear assessment objectives and comprehensive incentive measures, covering new recruits to annual reviews. Employees are continuously assessed by supervisors at all levels based on knowledge, integrity, work ability, and performance. All employees undergo regular performance evaluations with 100% participation. FEDS also arranges professional training and job rotations to broaden employee experience and facilitate promotion or transfer to suitable positions.

FEDS supports talent development and ensures legal rights to rotation opportunities. Any employee rotation follows the five principles of transfer as stipulated by the competent authorities. These regulations are explained during new recruit training, stated in the work rules, and publicly disclosed on the company’s internal website, ensuring clear and transparent transfer policies. In 2025, 179 employees were rotated, representing a rotation rate of 15%.

To encourage senior executives to prioritize sustainable management and ensure sustainable development commitments, FEDS established a policy in 2024 linking senior executives’ compensation with ESG-related performance evaluations. The ESG performance indicators include climate risk management and the promotion of net zero, talent development and occupational health and safety initiatives, and legal compliance.
