Volunteer Activities

From a commitment to corporate sustainability to active social engagement, FEDS has ingrained social welfare into the DNA of every employee. Volunteer service teams, formed by employees from various branches, engage in activities such as environmental maintenance, supporting groups in need and visiting the elderly. These teams demonstrate FEDS’ dedication to social responsibility, contributing to a better life through concrete actions.

In 2025, through six action mechanisms—sponsorship, material contributions, fundraising, charity sales, donations, and capital raising—FEDS systematically promoted five key public welfare themes: international events, support for the underprivileged, care for women and children, environmental protection, and local development. A total of 1,053 public welfare activities were held throughout the year, reaching a record high and demonstrating steady and continuously expanding social influence.

Engaging in Beach Cleanups

In response to the SDG 14, FEDS continues to encourage employees to participate in environmental volunteer service, fulfilling its commitment to marine conservation through beach cleanups. In 2025, 5 branches engaged in related actions, including Mega City Banqiao Store, Banqiao Store, Taoyuan Store, Top City Taichung Store, and Tainan Store. A total of 94 employees participated throughout the year, accumulating 221 service hours and removing 2,203 kilograms.

Creating a Livable Environment

FEDS actively participates in community environmental maintenance in its role as a corporate citizen, working with residents to create a clean and livable environment through street-cleaning and cleanup actions. In 2025, three branches—Zhubei Store, Chiayi Store, and Tainan Store—engaged in community environmental improvement, calling on employee volunteers to join local residents in entering streets, alleys, and parks, which not only enhanced environmental quality but also promoted community interaction and strengthened neighborly bonds.

Active Aging Care

As Taiwan officially enters a super-aged society, issues such as elderly people living alone and lacking companionship have drawn increasing attention. FEDS actively responds to the social needs brought by demographic change, continuing to promote active and encouraging employee volunteers to enter the elderly’s living spaces to convey care and support through real companionship. In 2025, FEDS held 9 elderly care activities, bringing warmth and companionship to the elderly through diverse interactive formats.

Caring for the Vulnerable

FEDS continues to focus on the living needs of vulnerable groups, translating care into concrete support through employee volunteer service. In 2025, 14 employees from Kaohsiung Store became volunteers for a day, going to the Andrew Food Bank to participate in sorting, counting, and packing food boxes, helping to effectively deliver social resources to families in need. In this activity, 50 food boxes were completed within 2 hours, each containing about 10 daily necessities such as rice, canned goods, and dry rations, enough to provide a disadvantaged family with about one week of basic dietary needs and benefiting over 300 people.
