Vice Chairperson and President
Nancy Hsu

The retail industry is evolving at a rapid pace, compelling enterprises to continually adapt their operating models and service value in order to maintain a competitive edge in an increasingly dynamic market. We firmly believe that an organization’s long-term competitiveness is rooted in the shared growth of its stakeholders. Guided by this conviction, the Company has embedded ESG principles into its operations and governance. Through responsible and innovative management practices, we collaborate closely with employees, customers, and brand partners to progressively shape a retail model that integrates sustainability with service innovation, thereby generating a positive impact on the industry.

Steady Operational Growth Strengthening Sustainable Momentum

Amid intensifying competition in the department store sector, Far Eastern Department Stores (FEDS) demonstrated resilient performance in 2025, achieving total sales of NT$60 billion and maintaining stable growth momentum. Flagship locations, including Top City Taichung and Mega City Banqiao, continued to enhance their premium customer engagement through spatial optimization and brand portfolio upgrades. Other branches, meanwhile, tailored their strategies to local market characteristics and consumer preferences, integrating diverse marketing initiatives with experiential services to boost customer interaction and foot traffic. This solid operational performance not only underpins foundation for corporate developments, but also provides a stable support for advancing sustainability initiatives.

Safety as a Priority: Creating a Secure Shopping Environment

Public safety remains a fundamental pillar of department store operations. FEDS has incorporated safety management into the core of its governance framework, guided by the principles of “prevention first, rapid response, and continuous improvement.” Comprehensive measures have been integrated into daily operations, including disaster prevention training and drills, safety inspections of public facilities, management of drinking water and indoor air quality, as well as the installation of AED devices and personnel training. Through standardized procedures, routine inspections, and ongoing education, the Company has established a robust safety management system to ensure a secure and reassuring environment for customers, employees, and partners alike.

Employee Well-being and an Inclusive Workplace Culture

Employees are the Company’s most valuable asset. Far Eastern Department Stores is committed to fostering a healthy, diverse, and inclusive workplace culture, and has been advancing its employee wellness program for seven consecutive years. This program integrates occupational safety management, health promotion, and gender equality education to holistically enhance both physical and mental well-being, as well as workplace safety awareness. Its achievements have been recognized with the Global Corporate Sustainability Awards (GCSA) for two consecutive years. By aligning health management, workplace safety optimization, and gender equality, the Company is progressively building a sustainable workplace model that balances well-being, safety, and inclusivity.

Mobilizing Social Impact through Collective Effort

Far Eastern Department Stores has long been dedicated to social responsibility, leveraging its extensive island-wide network to connect brand partners and community organizations in advancing public welfare initiatives. In 2025 alone, the Company organized 1,053 charitable events, with employees contributing over 1,146 volunteer service hours. Through diverse forms of engagement, FEDS integrates the strengths of both the enterprise and its stakeholders—responding to societal needs while strengthening its connection with the community and amplifying the long-term impact of its philanthropic efforts.

Driving Retail Transformation through Sustainability to Create Shared Value

In response to rapid industry changes and the growing imperative of sustainability, Far Eastern Department Stores will continue to position ESG as a core strategic pillar, embedding sustainable principles into both operational management and service innovation. By collaborating with employees, customers, brand partners, and the broader community, the Company aims to cultivate a more inclusive and innovative retail ecosystem. Looking ahead, we will build upon a foundation of prudent management and continuous innovation to advance both corporate growth and sustainable value, creating enduring and shared benefits for the industry and society.
